What is your best tactic or advice for meeting new people?
Find out about them rather than talk about yourself.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your job?
That I don’t do anything.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
I find it very difficult to network as I am actually quite shy so I am pushing myself to attend more meetings.
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
I pride myself on the sense of team and family we have all across the NSX Group.
What is your favourite thing about where you live?
I live in the middle of a field and thats the best thing about it.
If you could add one thing to your NSX office, what would it be?
A fish tank (not sure why).

If you could speak any language, what would it be? (and why?)
I guess Dutch would help as my wife is Dutch.
What is your learning style?
I am 100% “Monkey see, Monkey do".

What is your favourite memory from travelling abroad?
I am lucky enough to travel a lot through work and also personally but some of the adventures abroad have produced some of the best memories.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
Canada and it is on the list!

Put the phone away and take an interest!
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your job?
That we only work in our department of the NSX Group. Instead, we are one big team!

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
Effective communication skills. Having spent a career working with people in all kinds of situations, I am a little obsessed with learning how people can communicate effectively, although you wouldn’t guess it if you met me!!
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
Taking an idea and turning it into a reality.

What is your favourite thing about where you live?
It’s perfect for my family! Close to a great school, in a great village, by a river..!
If you could add one thing to your NSX office, what would it be?
A whiteboard wall for ideas/reflection.

If you could speak any language, what would it be? (and why?)
Spanish. I’ve tried and failed so far.
What is your learning style?
As my other half would say, I like to know everything first before I make a decision or have a go.

What is your favourite memory from travelling abroad?
I love our family holidays and particularly the energy at Holiday Village resorts. I love travelling and particularly Rio de Janeiro. Standing underneath Cristo Redentor is amazing!
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
I think China. But I could make a strong argument for loads of places!

Give them your full attention and listen to what they have to say.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your job?
That it's easy because they don't really understand what I do!

Becoming a better bicycle mechanic!
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
Seeing things through to the end, no matter what.

What is your favourite thing about where you live?
The village is friendly and has lots of countryside cycle routes straight from the front door.
If you could add one thing to your NSX office, what would it be?
A shower!

Noongar language as it's the indigenous people of the Perth area in WA.
What is your learning style?
Hands on and get on with it!

Embrace local cultures and pick out the important parts for you, to enrich your own world.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
Canada to attend an MTB World Cup Downhill event.

What is your best tactic or advice for meeting new people?
Ask questions about people’s backgrounds and make natural connections.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your job?
Being that I am US-based working for a UK company, people often assume I work 4am-12pm rather than 9am-5pm

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
Building effective spreadsheets/algorithms for a better understanding on budgets.
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
Collaborating with the NSX team to make a vision turn into a viable product.

What is your favourite thing about where you live?
The cultural diversity. Atlanta, Georgia is nicknamed as “The Melting Pot” growing up here allows you to experience people from around the world and it is something I really admire about my hometown.
If you could add one thing to your NSX office, what would it be?
A Starbucks.
Language Development
If you could speak any language, what would it be? (and why?)
Spanish so I could tell Lionel Messi how much I appreciate his game in case we ever ran into each other.
What is your learning style?
Visual/writing, I like to have a notepad on me at all times to jot down notes and ideas.

What is your favourite memory from travelling abroad?
Going on a wildlife safari in Kenya when I was 17.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
Might sound strange but Belfast, Northern Ireland. I minored in Irish Studies in college, have been to Republic of Ireland several times but never Northern Ireland.
